Armstrong manufactures complete range of Steam Traps for various applications. Inverted Bucket, Thermodynamic / Disc, Thermostatic / Bi-Metal, F&T / Float & Thermostatic Trap.
Armstrong 800 series Inverted Bucket Steam Trap is basic without Integral Strainer. This is acceptable in most application as the condensate discharge port is located at the Top of the Trap.
Secret of long service life is the design of Plug & Seat whereby after long usage, wear & tear causes even tighter shut-off due to Plug changes in shape from Round to Cone / Tapered shape.
Armstrong 880 series Inverted Bucket Steam Trap comes with Integral Strainer ideal for limited space. For correct sizing, we need following information : Pressure, Capacity, Size of Line Pipe. We will select ideal Orifice for the application.
Armstrong 2000 series Inverted Bucket Steam Trap comes with Universal Connector. The benefits is to fit various angle upon Installation plus easy to replace Trap for maintenance. Used widely in Refinery as Down-Time is critical.
Armstrong CD-33S series Thermodynamic / Disc Trap is Compact in design. It is not recommended for Outdoor Use as the rain will cause the Trap to blow Live Steam. It is prone to Air Lock on start up and has a short life as wear & tear is high. Unless space is a limit, it is advisable to use Inverted Bucket type Steam Trap for Saving Energy.
Armstrong A series Float & Thermostatic Trap is for Process use with big Capacity. Since the Condensate Discharge hole is located at the bottom, it is prone to Plug by Dirt. Thus, Y-Strainer is crucial to be installed Upstream of the Trap. Furthermore, Check Valve needs to be installed Downstream to prevent Back Pressure from destroying the Float. If Stalled issue happens due to Low inlet pressure normally found in PHE installation, request Armstrong Double Duty Trap.
Armstrong SH-900 series Thermostatic / Bimetallic Steam Trap is ideal for Superheated Steam / High Pressure, High Temperature.
Armstrong SH-1500 Thermostatic / Bimetallic Steam Trap is ideal for Superheated Steam.
Armstrong Trap Valve Station 4000 series is integrating 2 Isolating Valves, 1 Strainer, 1 Blow Down Valve into 1 Product. It saves space & materials cost, installation time, reducing leakage path on connection, It can be used on various Steam Traps ie Inverted Bucket, Disc, Float, Thermostatic etc.
Steam Supply & Condensate Collection Manifolds are preassembled steam tracing package which saves Installation time. Vertical design saves space and improve safety.
Armstrong offers Steam Audit to calculate Steam Loss and recommended action taken to reduce the losses.
Many cases in Heat Exchanger when the Control Valve closes, pressure drops not allowing Steam Trap to be lifted. As a result, Condensate fills the space of Heat Exchanger creating many trouble. Armstrong DD Trap solves this problem and yet functions normally as Steam Trap when there is enough pressure.
