Armstrong CD-33S series Thermodynamic / Disc Trap is Compact in design. It is not recommended for Outdoor Use as the rain will cause the Trap to blow Live Steam. Armstrong A series Float & Thermostatic Trap is for Process use with big Capacity. Since the Condensate Discharge hole is located at the bottom, it is prone to Plug by Dirt. Thus, Y-Strainer is crucial to be installed Upstream of the Trap. Furthermore, Check Valve needs to be installed Downstream to prevent Back Pressure from destroying the Float. If Stalled issue happens due to Low inlet pressure normally found in PHE installation, request Armstrong Double Duty Trap.
